Jake and Joelle

Fall'in Love

I met up with Jake and Joelle at Pandapas Pond for their engagement session. The fall colors were just perfect as we walked around the pond. The love and enthusiasm that Jake and Joelle share is so apparant in the way they act around eachother. Jake and Joelle met the first day of freshman year at Virginia Tech while in New Cadet Week, which is the first week of VT Army Corps of Cadets training. After touring around the pond, we went out to the Caldwell Fields in the Jefferson National Forest. This holds significant meaning to Jake and Joelle as the Corps of Cadets does a routine hike of the 26 miles from the Caldwell Homestead to Virginia Tech. As a couple, Jake and Joelle enjoy going to breweries/ wineries, being outside, hiking and camping around the Appalachian Trail, and going to Orioles games. Jake proposed while they were on a VT Corps of Cadets trip to France to study Normandy and WWII. The last couple days were free in Paris with some friends, and he proposed in front of the Luxembourg Gardens. Congratulations you two and I am looking forward to your wedding in June!!!
